OVERVIEW
The LDS Holistic Living (previously Holistic LDS Living) Conference was
founded in July 2009, with the first conference On June 26, 2010. Our
mission is to help all people draw closer to Christ by discovering His
hidden treasures of knowledge for the health and healing of the mind,
body and spirit.
Our
goal is to offer our attendees very experienced and knowledgeable
professionals in their field, presenting on relevant and in depth topics
from an LDS point of view. The inspiration for the Holistic LDS
Conference stemmed from a light bulb moment of 'it's time'. Society as a
whole has moved in a direction of holistic practices becoming more
accepted, and there is a large population of LDS members who are
passionate about living a holistic lifestyle. In addition, LDS beliefs
complement and support many holistic arts. South Jordan, UT is the
perfect location to hold such a conference because of the high
concentration of LDS members. Many LDS members who live by holistic
principles feel alone and unsupported in their views, even though there is a
large community of LDS members who espouse those views. This conference
would serve to help those members connect, learn and grow.
The
2012 Conference will be held Saturday, June 23 at Paradigm High Charter
School in South Jordan, Utah. We will have five breakaway
sessions throughout the day, with multiple classes running concurrently
and a 30 minute break between classes and 1 hour for lunch. Additionally, there will be a
large open-to-the-public vendors area, where only a very select, small
group of retailers will be advertising services and products.
Presenters are allowed the option of having a vendor space as part of
your participation in the conference.
You
are welcome to teach as many classes as you’d like, but we do require a
minimum of 2 classes and prefer you teach 3 classes, but you are welcome
to fill all sessions. Two sessions are 45 minutes in length, and the
remaining 3 sessions are 90 minutes. You are more likely to have board
approval if you submit more than one class topic. We will be offering a
well rounded variety
of subjects at the conference and don’t want an over saturation in one
subject area, or a total repeat of last years conference, so please be
aware that we may not be able to accommodate every request.
Please spend some time contemplating what topics you would like to
address and the number of sessions you’d like to teach and complete a
Proposal Submission.
Regards,
Rebecca Price & Amy Jones

simply doing a question and answer session is not accepted.

- Presenters are required to either submit class handouts to be included in a conference binder (purchased separately by attendees), and/or be audio recorded for purchased download from the website after the conference.

expected to supply attendees with handouts if applicable to the
