How To Teach Children Obedience & Respect
If we are constantly battling our children at home, how can we create an environment to build leaders? The most inspiring of all lessons taught in the home is that of a good parent/child relationship.
There are no tricks to achieving children that govern themselves, while happily and willingly obeying the counsel of their parents. A working family government and atmosphere of acceptance and love turns the heart of a child to his/her parents. Don’t just parent your children; teach them the skills they need to govern themselves. This class is for parents or grandparents of small children or teens, either happy or "out of control."
How Do You Get What You Want?
When your daughter rolls her eyes at you, what do you do? When your husband/wife dominates a situation, what do you do? When your mother-in-law makes plans for you without consulting you, what do you do? When your neighbor let's her dog go to the bathroom on your lawn, what do you do?
Believe it or not, there is a way to always make the right choice in all of these situations and usually still get your way. Wouldn't it be nice to not have to worry about offending people anymore or about coming across wrong? Wouldn't it be wonderful to not feel the need to be angry any more? In this class we will discuss these and other similar situations and some key principles to getting what you want, the calm and confident way.
CPR: Cultural Parenting Revolution
Have you had enough yet? Do you feel like you are drowning some days? Parenting is hard work. Is there any way to make it easier?
This class will take a deep look at what parenting used to look like. What it looks like in our modern society and what it needs to look like to create the leaders we need for the future. Without question there are principles for being a leader, and principles for teaching leadership, and the greatest leadership role we have is being a parent.
Creating a Magical Space Where Children Love to Learn
Do you want to nurture your child’s feelings of "love of learning?" Do you want to give your children an environment in which to engage in their love of learning? Are you tired of asking the unproductive question of, "What do you want to do/learn today?" Would you like to create a system in which your young children can watch older siblings experimenting, learning, exploring, etc. while engaging themselves in the same system? Would you like to have a system in which you can more effectively structure productive time, not content? Do you want to love being with your children?
At the end of this session participants will:
- Know how to put their space together: what is it, where is it located, what goes in it, how to find ideas and what to do if you have no money.
- They will understand the five rules which are essential to making it a consistently effective tool in their educational and family environment.
