Dr. Ulm is active in the community, and has participated in various mission trips. In 2006 he and his wife spent a month in the island nation of Vanuatu providing dental care to remote coastal and jungle villages, an experience he counts among his most memorable as a dentist. During his leisure time, Dr. Ulm enjoys motorcycling, running, and skiing. He lives with his wife, Dana; their daughters 5-year-old Ella and 2-year-old Betty; and their one-eyed albino wonderdog, Maggie.
